What happens to your resume

Short version: it is stored privately, it is never shared or sold, it is never used to train anything, and one click deletes it everywhere.

Where it lives

Your file sits in a private storage bucket with no public URL. Reading it needs a short-lived signed link that only our server can mint, and only after checking the file is yours.

What we keep

The file, the job descriptions you paste, and the scores. We do not store the readable text of your resume as a separate copy: what survives a scan is structured facts with the line each came from.

Who can see it

You. Every table has row-level security, so a query for someone else’s scan returns nothing rather than being politely refused. No recruiter, no employer, nobody else.

Deleting it

Settings, then Delete everything. The file, every scan, your analytics profiles in both tools we use, and the activity from before you signed in: scans you ran anonymously are linked to your account when you sign in, so those go too. It is one action and it cannot be undone, which is the point.

What we measure

We record what happens in the product - scans started, scores banded, gaps copied - in PostHog, Mixpanel and our own database. Those events carry your score and which parts of a report you used. They never carry the contents of your resume.
